Magnesite and Dolomite

Calcite is a carbonate mineral which readily occurs in the form of calcium carbonate, CaCO3

Magnesite which occurs in the form of magnesium carbonate (MgCO3) and dolomite which is essentially a mixture of calcium-magnesium carbonate (CaMg(CO3)2) are the two minerals that have compositions similar to calcite.
