The food’s name is Tarta de Santiago (St. James’ Cake). This cake was named after the patron saint of Spain. The recipe was adopted in the Galician cuisine and it´s a cake made with ground almonds and decorated with powdered sugar and fashioned with St. James´ sword as depicting a holy cross.
