Hey there!
First, we'll use the second equation to find the value of x. We can add y to both sides to get x = 3+y.
We'll then plug that expression into the first equation to find the value of y.
(3+y) + 2y = 6
3 + 3y = 6
3y = 6
y = 2
Now, if x = 3+y, x must equal 5. Therefore our answer is (5, 2).
Hope this helps!
