Isiah walks 3 miles due north, turns and walks 5 miles due east. How far is he from the starting point?

OK bud so were going to use the pythagorean theorem 

A^2+ b^2 = c^2

ok so basically for A it will be 3 miles were going to do 3^2 + 5^2 = c2

For B we will be using the 5 miles also what we will be doing is 9 + 25 = c^2

c will equal out to the hypotenuse which will be 34 = c^2

so then we will do c^2 = 34 then c=√34 our answer will be 5.83 miles
