First, you substitute each x in the first equation-  2(2y+10)-3y=17
Next, simplify -    4y+20-3y=17
y+20=17
y=-3

Next, substitute the y in for the second equation, x=2y+10
x=2(-3)+10
x=-6+10
x=4
ANswer:
x=4
y=-3
Hope this helps!
