170% means 170/100 in (fraction form)
so to get 170% multiply 170/100 by 85.
14450/100 will be the fraction..the Simplified version is 144.5.
That is how much Elsie has to pay.
Now subtract to find the profit.
So, (144.5-85) is 59.5.
So the stores profit is $59.5.
