The terms storage, filing, storage method and record management each have a different meaning. Storage refers to the action of storing something for use sometime in the future. Filing refers to organization of folders in a certain way for use in the future. Storage method is the mechanism of storing things. Record management is how to organize and store recorded information. All of these terms involve keeping things for future use.
