Larger Number is L
Smaller Number is L -9
Larger # + Smaller # = 67

L + L - 9 = 67
2L - 9 = 67
2L = 67 + 9
2L = 76
L = 76/2
L = 38

Smaller Number = Larger Number - 9
38 - 9
Smaller # = 29
