Hello there
We can say that,
The length = 3u
The width= 1u
3u + 1u +3u +1u= 44cm
8u= 44cm
1u= 44cm / 8
    = 5.5cm
Length= 5.5 cm x 3
           =16.5 cm
Width= 5.5 cm

Hope this helps :))
