Distribute the negative outside the parenthesis through the terms inside the parenthesis.

-c + 3 = 6

Subtract 3 from both sides.

-c = 3

Divide both sides by -1.

c = -3

Greetings!

[tex]-(c-3)=6[/tex]
Distribute the Parenthesis.
[tex]-c+3=6[/tex]
Add -3 to both sides.
[tex](-c+3)+(-3)=(6)+(-3)[/tex]
[tex]-c=3[/tex]
Divide both sides by -1.
[tex](-c)/-1=(3)/-1[/tex]
[tex]c=-3[/tex]

Hope this helps.
