[tex]x = r cos \theta \\ \\ y = r sin \theta[/tex]

[tex]x = (-2) cos (\pi/3) = (-2)(\frac{1}{2}) =-1 \\ \\ y=(-2) sin (\pi/3) = (-2)(\frac{\sqrt{3}}{2})=-\sqrt{3}[/tex]

The rectangular coordinates are:
[tex](-1,-\sqrt{3})[/tex]
