9x-5y=11

Move all terms containing x to the left, all other terms to the right.
now add 5y to each side and now it should look like this:
9x + -5y + 5y = 11 + 5y

Now divide each side by 9 and the answer is....
Simplifying x = 1.222222222 + 0.5555555556y
