Even though it's 2 cubic feet, it doesn't matter. It still can be transformed into inches.
1 foot = 12 inches
Multiply the 2 feet by 12 which should be:
12×2=24
So 24 cubic inches can be fit into a empty box with a volume of 2 cubic feet.
