Answer: Probability can be best described as the chance of occurring favorable number of outcomes out of the total number of outcomes.

In other words, it is the likelihood or chance of occurring an event. Probability can be expressed in terms of percentage ( value lies between 0% to 100%), decimal or fraction ( value lies between 0 to 1).

Example- Chance of getting a head after tossing a coin is 50%. Therefore, probability of getting a head is 50%.
