-7/34-(-4/17)= 1/34
You need to have common denominators to subtract. The common denominator is 34 (17*2=34)
-7/34-(-4*2/17*2)
-7/34-(-8/34)
-(-fraction) automatically changes to a positive. Double negative = a postive
-7/34+8/34
(Different sign subtract and keep the sign of the larger number)
1/34 is your answer!
