7x+1=22 can't find it nowhere

7x+1=22
First: Subtract your 1 on both sides of the equal sign.
You would get: 7x=21
Next: Divide your 7 on both sides of the equal sign
Your answer would be: x=3

 if you are trying to find x you are going to subtract 1 from 22 so you have
7x+1=22
    -1    -1

7x=21
