[tex]\sqrt{196} = 14[/tex], and since [tex]\sqrt{185[/tex] is less than [tex]\sqrt{196}[/tex], the deepest part of the pond is less than 14.

-> The depth of the pond is between 13 and 14 meters.

Or, you can just calculate [tex]\sqrt{185}[/tex] = 13.6014... (between 13 and 14)
