Who is Archimedes?

This was a Greek philosopher and scientist whose contributions helped shaped the world philosophy and also the use of simple machines.

With this in mind, we can see that in the 3rd century BC, Archimedes made breakthrough in his research of simple machines which included the pulleys, lever and screw.
