By the way, the typed out question is not proper. Be sure to be clear on signs, like absolute value.

Absolute value of -8+5 is 3. This is because -3 is turned positive due to | |

(-8)^2 = 64
Multiply 64*2, equal to 128

Then solve. — 64-128= -64

-64 is the answer
