Okay so lets look at this

Total revenue is 3,000

The cost of goods is 1,500 so that would make our first equation 3,000-1,500=1,500

Now your profit is 1,500 but the total selling expense is 500. so our next equation is 1,500-500=1,000

Now your total profit is 1,000.
