What's the difference between the continental shelf and continental slope please help

The continental SHELF is the area of seabed around a big landmass where the sea is shallow compared to the open ocean. 

On the other hand, a continental SLOPE is 
the slope between the outer edge of the continental shelf and the ocean floor.
