The famous Greek historian historian Herodotus once wrote that "Egypt...is, so to speak, the gift of the Nile." What did he mean and was he right.

He meant that Egypt is something that the Nile uses that's helpful. Herodotus was wrong. It's the other way around, the Nile helps Egypt.
