Answer: f(x) = 3x^2 + 1

g(x) = 1 - x

(f - g)(x) = 3x^2 + 1 - (1 - x) = 3x^2 + 1 - 1 + x = 3x^2 + x

(f - g)(2) = 3(2)^2 + 2 = 3(4) + 2 = 12 + 2 = 14.
