Multualism is the interaction in which two organisms benefit from the interaction.

Commensalism is when two species interact but only one benefits while the other is unharmed.

Now that we understand what these both mean, Multualism and Commensalism are alike because none of the organisms are harmed and at least one benefits, if not both. (Someone here will benefit no matter what.)
