Step-by-step explanation:

multiplying the 2nd eqn by 9 we get,

9x+9y=81

then,subtracting 1st and 2nd eqn

9x+5y=41

9x+9y=81

- - -

__________

0. -4y=-40

we get y = 10

then we get x=9-y

x=9-10

x= -1

so x is -1 and y is 10
