               Kinetic Energy  =  (1/2) (mass) (speed)²

                         4,000 J  =  (1/2) (80 kg) (speed)²    

Divide each side
by  40 kg :            4,000 J / 40 kg  =  speed²

                                    100 m²/s²  =  speed²

each side:                         10 m/s  =  speed
