What is the similarity between Mesopotamia and Egypt

Both ancient Egypt and ancient Mesopotamia were seasonally watered by rivers that would flood. Egypt's river, the Nile, deposited fertile dark silt during floods and this made agriculture possible. Mesopotamia was between two rivers, the Tigris and Euphrates.
