The area of any circle is        (pi) · (radius)² .

The radius is 1/2 of the diameter.

For your circle, the radius is 1/2 of 14 inches  =  7 inches,
and the area is

                            (pi) · (7 inches)²

                         = (pi) · (49 square inches)

                         =      153.9 square inches  (rounded)
