How might the failure of one blood vessel in the body affect the rest of the organism?

Since all the blood vessels work together as a whole, the malfunction of one will be affected in a bad way that can stop the flow of oxygen in the blood to reach certain areas of the organism. It also puts at risk for heart attacks, heart failure and strokes and more.
