Now days if your insane or mentally ill and you commit a crime they take that in consideration and should there for only be put in the mental hospital and stay there but if the masters family wished for more they most likely would’ve wanted more of a punishment. For him to only be bothered by his eye is of no reason to kill someone there are many other things he could’ve done instead of killing him and feeling guilty afterwards sorry if that didn’t make sense
