The rate of change between (-3,6) (0,-3) is -3

Solution:

Given that,

We have to find the rate of change between (-3,6) (0,-3)

The rate of change is given as:

[tex]Rate\ of\ change = \frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}[/tex]

From given,

[tex](x_1, y_1) = (-3, 6)\\\\(x_2, y_2) = (0, -3)[/tex]

Substituting the values we get,

[tex]Rate\ of\ change = \frac{-3-6}{0+3}\\\\Rate\ of\ change = \frac{-9}{3}\\\\Rate\ of\ change = -3[/tex]

Thus rate of change is -3
