Surface area of the cube = 294 mm²

Solution:

Side of the cube (a) = 7 mm

Formula for the surface area of a cube:

Surface area = [tex]6a^2[/tex] sq. units

To find the surface area of the given cube:

Substitute a = 7 mm in the formula.

Surface area = [tex]6\times(7)^2[/tex]

                     = 6 × 49

                     = 294 mm²

Surface area = 294 mm²

Option C is the correct answer.

Hence the surface area of the cube is 294 mm².
