To find out whether these lines are parallel or not, we have to calculate the slope. If the slope is same in both equations, then we can say both lines are parallel to each other.
For that purpose, we have to change the format of the equation in this way, y=mx+C.

2x + 6y = 5
y = -1/3 x + 5

y = 3x + 8

Since the slope ( -1/3 and 3 ) of the equations are not equal, these are not parallel to each other.

Answer is b.False
