To find the solution, you plug in the numbers into x, and figure out which x value gets f(x) = g(x)
[The number has to be the same on both sides of the = sign]
x = 2
f(x) = 2.5x - 10.5 Plug in 2 for x
f(2) = 2.5(2) - 10.5 = 5 - 10.5 = -5.5
g(x) = 64(0.5)ˣ
g(2) = 64(0.5)² = 16
Do the same for the rest of the x values, and whichever x value has f(x) = g(x), is your solution. [the solution should be x = 5]
