What is the difference between a court with original jurisdiction and one with appellate jurisdiction?

Jurisdiction is the authority from the court to hear cases and a subject and give statements and judgement.

Original jurisdiction has the power to hear cases that are fresh.

Appellate jurisdiction has the power to review decision from the lower courts and can possibly overturn their decision.
