Hey there!!

Distance formula :

[tex]\sqrt{(y2-y1)^{2} + (x2-x1)^{2}  }[/tex]

Coordinates given :

( 0,1 ) and ( 2,-3 )

( y2 = -3 ; y1 = 1 ) ( x2 = 2 ; x1 = 0 )

Plugging in the values :

... [tex]\sqrt{(-3-1)^{2}+(2-0)^{2} }[/tex]

... [tex]\sqrt{(-4)^{2}+(2)^{2} }[/tex]

... [tex]\sqrt{16+4}[/tex]

... [tex]\sqrt{20}[/tex]

... [tex]\sqrt{5}[/tex]×[tex]\sqrt{4}[/tex]

... 2[tex]\sqrt{5}[/tex] units is the distance.

Hope my answer helps!!
