For the total batch you need 3/4 cup and you only want one half of that, so you need to multiply 3/4 by 1/2

[tex] \frac{3}{4} \times \frac{1}{2} = \frac{3}{8} [/tex]

First will make the fraction is easier by turning it into 6/8 but because we’re halving it the we only halve the numerator, so it’s 3/8.
