The important result of Justinian's reign in the sixth-century Western world was the brief re-unification of Eastern and Western empires.

The emperor Justinian ruled the Eastern Roman or Byzantine Empire from 527 until 565. He was known for many things like his efforts to regain the lost provinces of the Western Roman Empire and his codification of Roman law. He was also known for his architectural achievements.
