solution:

AT + TL = AL  


3x + 1 + 15 = 7x + 1  


15 = 4x  


x = 15/4

[tex]AT=3\times\frac{15}{4}+1\\

\frac{49}{4}=12.25\\

AL=7\times\frac{15}{4}+1=\frac{109}{4}\\
