Ed had a piece of rope 6 3/4 ft long. He cut off 3/8 ft. How much rope does Ed have left?

hello :)

so you must first understand that 3/4 is the same as 6/8 (just multiply the top and bottom by 2!)

so if you take away 3/8 from 6 6/8 (remember 6/8 is the same as 3/4)

then the resulting amount og rope you would have would be 6 3/8 ft
