It depends on what's inside the can.

If the can is full of 1 liter of air, then it's quite light.  The
rolling friction between the can and the grass or carpet
would soon bring it to a stop, and it would not run far at all.

If, however, the can were full of 1 liter of concrete or Osmium,
then it would be quite heavy.  It would be very difficult for you
to start it rolling, but once you did, you would have given it great
kinetic energy, and it could perhaps keep rolling on into the night,
possibly many lakh.
