You are required to yield to all approaching vehicles. If you enter a highway from private driveway, all vehicles passing by needs to be yielded so they pass safely. Once the cars pass completely and is save to enter, than you are allowed to go. The lack of yielding to the passing vehicles can cause a car accident.
